Welcome to Plants Utilization by Macaques in Buddhist Temples in Thailand

Macaques are primates that belonged to the Family Cercopithecidae (Old World Monkey). The distinctive characteristic is having cheek pouches. The length of tail varies depend on species.  Due to habitat destruction, several populations of macaques survived in Buddhist temples located next to forest. The macaques usually rely on both natural and provisioned food items.
